How do you think these would do for recording with? (Mic's)

8 Piece microphone kit.

My Band needs some mic's to record our first ep, weve done this before in the last few weeks at our jam rooms using vocal mic's and the results left a bit to be desired. Anyway so myself and the two other guitarists will be using DI's so we basically just need drum mics. This is what the drummers kit consists of(pardon my bad drummer techspeak):

Pearl Master Class Kick Drum X 2
Pearl Master Class Snare X 1
Pearl Master Class Floor Tom X 1
Pearl Master Class Rack Tom X 2
Sabian Cymbals (Crash, Splash, Ride, China)

We play original Metal songs with a few covers (Lamb of God, Soulfly, Slipknot) so do you reckon these would cut it???

buy a load of sm57s 2nd hand and use them. They'll sound better than a cheap drum mic kit, and although they arent super great mic's, they do a reasonable job. All drum mic kits i've used like this sound weak, unclear and plasticy.

Remember that the quality of the recording also depends very much on the preamp you run your mics through!
