I have just bought a BF-2 Flanger and am getting some really good results. I just wanted to ask how you use your flanger e.g What parts of a song, quick flange, slow etc. Any favourite settings will also be appriciated.
i use my flanger with really low rate and really high depth so i get a massive swoosh with my big muff, sounds ace for solo bass parts or bits that need a bit of noise behind it
i also use the tremoloish cutting sound it has, and someties crank all the controls so its like a strange whistling noise
This could be a useful thread for me as well, since I don't own my BF 2 that long either. But my fave setting for the moment is manual 5:00 (full clockwise), rate + depth 2:00 and res 7:00 (full counterclockwise). Gives me a subtle but noticable flange/phase.
The effect that I use on my GT-6B (which I programmed in myself) where you can here the flange is pretty unique and awesome. I control the rate and resonance with the expression pedal, so I can adjust the rate and max out at a kind of laser sound. I also have a bit of reverb on the effect, giving it even more depth. The sound is pretty much undescribable.
