How Emo Are You?

I'm so ashamed, I scored 40%. To be fair though, a lot of those don't apply to emo. Since when is skateboarding emo?!!? If you skated at all in the '80s you wore Chucks and/or Vans.
And who the hell is scared of Hot Topic?
Despite the quiz, I don't think a 35yo gun owning, skateboarding, libertarian is gonna qualify as emo. The quiz lies.

The point is: "Everyone is emo or no one is emo or no one cares who is or is not emo or what is emo."
How can someone be a music genre? Emo is pretty much a dead sub-genre of punk. Bands like Angel Hair, Rites of Spring and Circle Takes the Square are real emo, not this new wave of pop crap.

I was something of a geek in high school, and took some abuse for being smart, but at least I wasn't a sissy. Sheesh. Man up.
Later in college I played rugby and worked all my frustrations out on the field. Much more therapeutic than sitting around whining about how miserable my easy upper middle class life was.
