How long have you been playing bass?

just wondering how long some of you guys have been playing bass, ive been playing for just over 2 years (still consider myself a newbie)

I've been playing since 1976... so that is 34 years. Yikes... Lord I'm old!

Wife bought me a bass for my birthday in June of 09. Lovin' every minute of it. Taking lessons and playing with the church choir. I'm 44!

Learned sax in '76 and picked up bass the year after. So that's 33 years there about.
