20' but when I walk out front at sound check I chain another 20' so 40' for soundcheck.

No point in me going wireless because I sing an almost every song so am tied to a mic stand and most stages* we play are so small I am squashed between the drummer and a PA cab so there isn't room for a lot of movement anyway.

*A lot are at the same level as the punters so cannot strictly be called a stage.

Before I started gigging a 6 or 10 worked. I use about a 16 footer now. gives me enough length to walk in front of the PA on my side to hear the mix and move around a bit on stage. On one tune I walk over to the guitarist on the other side of the drums for a bit of rocking stage show moves.

8' home practice
12', 15', or 18' depending on expected stage size for gigs; usually 12' or 15' for rehearsal rooms
various combinations if I'm using a pedal board, again depending on stage

if you already have a 10', I recommend you get an 18'
