How Long Since You Bought Your Last Bass?

I realized that it's been more than 3 years since I last bought a bass, and I've had no desire to get another. I know there are some here who keep a bass for a long time, others who enjoy buying and selling. With all the talk about GAS here, I'm curious about how the numbers will come out...

I feel bad sometimes for taking advantage of those types, but hell, he needed the cash, and I wanted the bass, so we were meant for each other.

How do I find this guy? I always seem to miss him, and I definitely always miss the guy that needs to sell his stuff DIRT CHEAP to pay off his dealer/bookie.

yeah, about 3-4yrs ago i bought a AV62RI jazz. it killed all my G.A.S. and i still play it almost daily.
(i actually just put it down to write this!)

The band "Phish" has played mainly the same equipment since they started in 1988 they say knowing your gear is a big part of music and I totally agree. I have not bought a new bass for 3 years and I am very glad.. I know that thing inside and out and dont feel scared to touch something.

Lol.. last week. I got a souped up 55-01 at a very good price. I also did a trade and I have a Cirrus fretless enroute as we speak..

Gear Acquisition Syndrome

I won't even say it is done.. but I am surprised at myself. I remember when I thought that owning more than one bass two at the most was excessive.. but I no longer feel that way. Obviously..

GAS = Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Very contagious and progressive.

BAN HIM!

I've bought 3 in the past 6 weeks. Sold 2 off already. Only kept the SR1200 with the headstock pictured in my avatar. It's the last one I am buying for a while.
