Not to go too far down the literal rabbit hole, there was no matter shortly after the Big Bang, so I'm not sure you could consider it a sound. I'm also not sure what "sound" means on the context of plasma, so really, the first opportunity for literal sound may be recombination around 300,000 years out (I suppose that is what you were mentioning in the original post). So far as pitch goes, it would be affected by cosmic inflation the same way light does (gets lower with time and distance).
