I only need 2 amps. They're identical, and one is a spare. I carry a spare amp because in 4 decades of playing, my only gear failures have been amps and cables. Amp failures have been due to mechanical problems such as connectors and switches, but still, a dead amp is a dead amp.

Amp #3 lives in my basement factory, for testing preamps, so it's really part of my gear business, not my bass playing business.

Amp #4 is obsolete, but not worth trying to sell.

There are a dozen threads asking how many basses people here currently have. I am curious to know how many amps people currently have. I am going to allow the inclusion of combos since not everyone needs a dedicated head.
This excludes cabs. That would be another topic for another day.

4 combos from a small Carvin ProBass150 to an Eden RS-410 320 watt 4X10" monster. The two "middles" are an Eden kickback 12" combo and a Peavey TNT 15" combo.

I have over 100 bass amps. I didn't plan for this to happen. Many many years ago, I restored a Supro Thunderbolt bass amp.The whole process of taking it apart and cleaning the cabinet and grill cloth was so relaxing to me that when I got through, I started looking around for another amp to restore. Somewhere along the line I got more amps than I could ever restore. Then again, I also bought a lot of them because I wanted to change up my sound. Another problem I have is that it is hard for me to sell them. I bet of all the amps I have bought, I have sold less than 50. They hold memories for me and are hard to let go of. Just typing this out is depressing. Here are some photos that I have posted before. A lot of people might think I got these off Google or something but no... I took these around the house.

You're alot like Me, with basses. Instead of buying gear (effects, etc...), and "modding" instruments to make "this bass sound like that bass"... I just got THAT bass. UGH!!!

This is what I have where I practice. I got a bunch of other stuff at home. My living room practice rig is an Aguilar Th500 and two GS112 cabs. I grew up poor and live pretty cheap still but my old lady lets me get all the stuff I couldn’t have growing up.

Most situations do not require me to bring an amp at the moment,so I sold everything I don't really need to have.
