I own three - 1.Hartke A25 Solid State - Great for at home practice, 2.Trace Elliot V-Type Combo 15" Tube - Stays at the rehearsal space with the rest of the bands equipment though I have gigged it once and it did a great job, 3.Mesa/Boogie 400+Tube Head and 15" Diesel Cab - The Gigging God, bought this on the same loan as my first car, been a faithful companion for twenty-eight years! No pictures at the moment but I'll see if I can get some to add.

I have 5, but only gig 1 primarily. I occasionally use another one for certain lower volume gigs, or those with serious FOH.

Mesa WD-800, hybrid tube pre/class D power - primary gigging amp. matched with either a Berg NV212t, CN212 or CN112 depending on the gig.
Mesa Walkabout, hybrid tube pre/SS power - occasional gigging amp, used in recording quite often. usually matched with Berg NV212t
Ampeg PF500, class D - rehearsal space amp. matched with an Ampeg PF115HE
Fender Studio Bass, 180w all tube. Matched with a '77 EV 15L loaded Fender 1x15 cab.
Ampeg SVT 6pro, hybrid tube pre/SS power - currently non-functional

*Fender Greta mini amplifier + Celestion Eight 15 speaker box, guitar practice amp, also used as tube distortion.

4 transistor amplifiers, 1 tube.
The HoTone Nano and the Fender Greta are also used as pre-amp for coloring the sound.

absolutely correct on that score. I pick up non working valve pa amps on EBay then restore them great for bass and guitar. I have picked up point to point hand wired amps for next to nothing. They are the unsung heroes of the valve amp world!

With your location being in Wycombe I suspect that like me you're a fan of vintage British tube amps. These are often amazing for bass even if they're labelled as "All Purpose" or "PA" or whatever. As long as it's got a hi-z input and suitable speaker outputs (ohms) for a bass cab it's easily as good as the bass-specific models IMO. Manufacturers like Hiwatt, Selmer, Carlsbro, Simms-Watts, Orange/Matamp, Watkins/WEM, Sound City, Laney... Lots of bargains to be found even today, as long as you avoid the expensive guitar/bass-specific models (which are also great amps of course but some of them outrageously expensive, especially for the "cooler" stuff like vintage Hiwatt, Orange/Matamp). I still dream of the Simms-Watts 200w "POW" PA-head that I stupidly sold years ago. One the best bass amps I'be ever owned.

Musicman 115B 120 watt solid state combo with 1 x EV 15” owned since new from the early ‘80s
Fender Rumble 500 watt head bought used 2 years ago.
EV TL 15 inch cabinet
Eric Bellingham (Australian) custom 2 x 12 cabinet
Fender 4 x 10 cabinet.
The solid state MM worked great with the EV TL cabinet and for many years was my main gig set-up. It was plenty loud enough to cope with some pretty loud drummers but it’s heavy and is now just used for practice at home.

You can jump both channels on the amp. I like the bass response on the bass channel but also like to add the second channel and it’s EQ/reverb/trem.
