I reduced to pedalboard + head/cab: If I can/want to go ampless pedalboard only if it's a small gig with no pa support pedalboard + head/cab, and, last but not least, I can carry bass, amp/head and pedalboard all together (the head is a Darkglass Microtubes 200 which fits in my bass gigbag pocket) on one shoulder the pedalboard strap, on the other the gigbag strap, cab in one hand (Markbass traveler 102p which is ridiculously light to carry) and a cigarette in the other hand: ready to rock in 10 minutes!

Rumble Studio 40 110 for practice

Rumble Stage 800 210 +210 cab to behold since I rehearse in fully equipped rehearsal rooms. I love looks of big rigs.

I only have two. A Rumble 40 for small gigs in winery rooms and such -- and for home -- and a Genz Benz 500 Contour combo with a 15" for everything else.

on the other hand I have a dozen bass guitars so any semblance of normality is a ruse.

I own too many...Although reading through some of these make me feel a little better. I currently own 5 heads(SVTVR, SVTCL, V4b, Pf50T, and pf350) And 5 cabs...(heritage 810, 2-SVT212's, svt 112, and svt 210av)..Ampeg for the win, reverb and ebay for all the used gear...I rotate for the different gigs I have, but I realize I have 3 too many heads, and probably 4 too many cabs, but I only own 3 bass guitars, so maybe I try to balance my GAS that way...edit the pic is the rigs I pull out to A/B for louder events....the 112+pf50t is my living room home set-up, and the pf350+210 is my "light weight back-up" never leaves either...

Too many! Markbass 2, Fender, Darkglass, Mesa and GR. The Markbass stuff is what I gigged most since 2006 (Lab series and Hartke before that), but the Mesa and GR are my current favourites.

A M/B 400+ with 15" M/B cab, a Trace Elliot V-Type I picked up to leave at the rehearsal place but has made it to a couple of gigs and a Hartke A25 (I know, hardly counts as a "rig") for home practice and small house parties.

Honestly I have three setups, each for a different purpose.

Main setup for most gigs (private event/casino/upscale bar): Mesa Boogie Subway D-800 head and matching 1x12 and 1x15 cabs. I switch off depending on needs of room (acoustics/space available). I never have yet, but if I need the firepower I can use both together

Upscale/Recording setup : Mesa Walkabout Scout 1x15 combo. Love this combo for weddings and upscale events, but I also don't take it out too much because I don't want it damaged.

Beataround/Backup setup: Fender Rumble 100 1x12 combo. I use this as both a backup or for a handful of regular bar gigs/hometown spots where beer is flying around and its packed out and crazy lol

Too many, but then again, maybe just enough! LOL I can pair any combination of cabinet, they are all 8 Ohms with any one of 3 power heads ranging from 250, 500 or 800 watts, and I have a combo that is good for practice and small venues and a tiny battery/120V Roland that is only good for use with acoustic or wind instruments and low volume home use. What's missing in the photo is my Markbass Tube 800 which is my Go-To head. Rigs are like Prunes, "Is one enough? Are 6 Too Many?

I'm Music Room, could also hit the stage but unlikely to do so soon. Made of two halves of previous rigs.

-Fender Rumble 15 combo in living room cabinet.

-Ampeg B100R combo. Main gigging amp for many years.

Fender Rumble 100 V3 combo. Probably my new gigging amp and great for upright.

I've ditched tubes and largely multipart rigs as well. The gigs I play just don't need it.

As for "matching", a nice small combo matches itself pretty well ..
