I would absolutely love to be a one bass person but being in a cover band which plays songs in numerous tunings is a bit problematic. This is probably my last year playing in bands so maybe I’ll be able to downsize.

I've traded my Tagima Jazz Bass with John East preamp with an Ibanez ATK300 NT.
I don't have the bass with me yet, it's with my brother. I'll only pick it up next week but his calls for an update:

I'm still wheeling and dealing. Up to 95 (including 4 guitars not listed here). I swore at the beginning of last year that I was going to stop collecting and start downsizing when I hit 100. But the fact that I have two kids getting married in the next year may prevent me from hitting the 100 mark in 2020. It's getting pretty ridiculous and expensive trying to maintain them all as it is.
If I dropped dead tomorrow the "fire" sale would probably flood the local market.
I just checked country of manufacture and found the following:
    Canada 1
    Indonesia 3
    Italy 2
    Japan 65

  12. Been a while since I’ve posted a family shot. My current #1 is the VM Fretless Jazz with D’Addario Tapes as I am trying to get comfortable with fretless. My #2 is my Ibanez AEB5E with D’Addario Tapes because it’s just so dang jam-friendly. Third is my Schecter Raiden Special-4 with Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats. Not good enough to keep but too good to get rid of.

I have been thinning the Herd, down from 28 Basses at the beginning of 2019 down to 8 Basses at the beginning of 2020. Still have 2 left to sell then I’m holding at 6, 4 Sadowsky NYC’s and 2 Fender P Basses. I also went down from 8 amp rigs down to 2 Mesa rigs.

    My list consists of...

Futurama 6 string bass (unfortunately “customised” before I bought it second hand now in need of work)
Fender Jazz Bass (bought early 70s)
    Yamaha BB400S Fretless
    Yamaha TRB-6P
    Harley Benton BZT7000 7 string
Warwick Rockbass 8 string (in need of some setting up as the action is high and it kills my fingers)
    Hagstrom H8 II 8 string

Not sure where to go for the next!!

Could you post a full photo of that Yamaha, seems absolutely beautiful. I own two Yamaha RBX374's and they are finished very good. Would like to see the full bass as I just love red!
