I only own one but of course, would love to buy another one day. Don't think my better half would understand.

Our kid would though. We were watching a bassist on YT, playing a Stingray. Mine's a P Bass. My daughter said "That's a different bass to your isn't it? It sounds different". Good ears!

I'm at 4 now with recent Mickro and one not in use an old FB by Aria Pro II. The one I'm using more is the Maruszczyck Elwood 4 Yamaha A2 is in his bag waiting gigs after Coronavirus and the Steinberger Spirit is in exchange for another kind of bass.

:) Peaked at 24 recently, but thinning the herd nicely! Just three or four more to sell, two to finish building, and one order to arrive from overseas (still a work-in-progress) - and then I'm set for the rest of this decade, I hope...

I'm aiming for my local line up of bass guitars to look like:
1) 'main squeeze' short-scale 4-string fretted with roundwounds (*on order)
2) short-scale 4-string fretted with flatwounds (*under construction here)
3) 'guest' Long scale fretted with flats (*P-bass, have it now)
4) 'guest' Lefty Long scale fretless five string with rounds (*under construction here)
5) ... "something with tapewounds" (*maybe something I have now, maybe something new...)

Two right now: a Fender Jazz and a MM StingRay.

The Ray went through a pretty gnarly car accident with me. Although it gained some battle scares it functions just fine. However, I never use it anymore and I don’t have the nerve to sell it.

The jazz is a keeper and is a great overall bass but I do think I might try to add something a little different to mix things up. The Fodera Monarch Standards currently catch my eye but that’s an investment.

I've got 10. 5 keepers. All keepers are GS Custom 30.5" scale. A PJ downtuned for Stevie Ray, A PBass, one with Duncan early 50s tele bass single coil, one with Duncan Ricky neck pickup and one with a gorgeous, old, totally black ebony fretless board and jbass pickup. With these 5, I've got the bases covered. The other 5 are up for sale. I will be posting them here very soon
