I have three. First, and don’t laugh, I have a rogue 5 string bass. I bought it new because I like the sound, and it’s easy to play. The electronics were a complete mess and looked like they had been installed by a preschooler with a cold soldering iron. Cleaning them up and rewiring made a completely different bass out of it. Next, I bought a Fender jazz bass, 5 string bass, which is awesome. Not expensive, but very nice. Lastly, I’ve had on order for well over a year, and recieved back in November, a Takamine TB 10 hybrid. I love it!! Still learning to play it, and each time, it gets better and better as my muscle memory finds the correct notes. It’s not like a regular bass, where the next one is about the same position on the fretboard, just on a higher or lower string. You have to find the sweet spot, which could be upper or lower than where you expect it to be. That’s where the muscle memory comes in. However it’s a beautiful instrument. I love all my basses, and play them often.
