As of this weekend I'm at 7. One is not pictured. It's in the shop
I just picked up the Bluesman Vintage Jazz bass in the picture.
Not sure I'm loving the pickups in it. Getting used to the 1 3/4" wide neck.
Yes, I put a P neck on a J

You are correct. There are a lot out there in that price range, new. I know of just about everything available at the major big boxes, plus the usual bass specialty stores, but I am finicky.

For instance, the Sire M.2, Yamaha TRBX605, Spector Legend (current Legend models are not on my want list), Ibanez SR Standard to name a few from the "new" list.

The right instrument may appear in TB Classifieds soon.
Ther is new, new old stock and used. you have a million to choose from.

Nice collection. 7 is perfection. It’s always nice to have that one bass that is a distant cousin yet stands out from the rest. ( Brings something different to the table.)

i joked with my wife, I'm going for a Noah's Ark thing.
2 5 strings, 2 P basses(the Fiesta Red is for sale), I just got the Jazz, I'm having a Jazz built by a good friend that built 3 of my current basses, I just need 1 more Sting Ray.
I've been playing for 40+ years. In the last two months I bought the second and third most expensive basses I've ever owned. Bling Ray is #3, Bluesman Vintage Jazz is #2. I'm nearing the end of my searches.

Oh whoa!! Those are pretty! Congrats!!
Thanks!
The Chowny is bitter-sweet. Going out of business (temporarily I hope). What is cool about the Chowny is that it has the Gibson shape before Gibson made Chowny change it to different length horns. Only about 50/60 CHB-1 made like pictured before the forced change.

Oh no! I heard they were trying to relocate the whole production of basses to the UK... that didn't work out then??
