How many basses have you ever owned?

Being a bad church member, I let my mind wander, and scribbled down a list of every bass I have ever owned. I broke them down by brand and came up with 83. This is going back to 1975.

I started playing bass in 1978, I have owned 40 basses and the most at one time was 5. It is always fun to get a new bass although most of the times it does not work out for me it is still fun! For many years I only had one bass - no back up (90's). It was passive and I did not break strings until I starting playing again in 2000 after about 6yrs of not playing and definetly needed a back up bass!

I can't compare to a lot of you. I started playing only in 2008. I have 5 right now. I had 6 briefly but sold one. Now I am patiently waiting for my MID Ric from MF which will take me back up to 6. Chances are I'll sell something along the way. I only play casually but I do really like it.

Been playing 22 years. I've owned 11. Still own 3 of them. Have used the same one as my main bass since 2005. That is the longest I have used one as my main bass. It's a Warrior Signature 4 NT. Wish I still had my 1987 Pedulla Buzz. Huge mistake trading that one away. That is the one I miss the most.

I've been playing since 1982, and have owned 11 basses, mostly really great basses, in that time. And I'm really happy with the ones I have now.
