How many basses

I currently own 2 basses, with a third on its way. The wife is giving me grief over number. would like average. HELP!!!!!!!

I currently have 2 and feel naked. I think 4 is a good number. P bass, stingray, conklin 5 and 7 strings, and I am a happy man. Right now I have a P and the 5, so I guess I better get on that whole stingray and 7 string deal haha

I have 6 basses. My wife has 3 basses, 2 guitars, 3 violins, and a cello. I think she's winning at the moment (though I may be ahead in string count).

3 basses, one guitar, one keyboard, amp for basses and amp for guitar, 2 bass cabs - one used for the guitar amp when needed.

I'd like another bass, maybe a fretless and perhaps at some point, a double bass or at least the electric facsimile thereof. (Maybe a saxophone again!)

My wife would most likely not agree too easily with any more additions. What helped to get my 3 was to explain that each has it's own voice particularly wtih different strings suited to each and if one's a 5 -string (one of mine is) its covers other types of music. Could also be different tunings between each. I explained it's not a one-size-fits all thing.

So she kind of understands that. All the same, more than what I've got would be a tough sell for me too.

I have Schecter Stiletto Custom, and a Dean Exotica Acoustic, with possibly an Ibanez BTB 776 on the way.

Guitar wise, i have a BC Rich Masterpiece Bich, and some cheap Ibanez Acoustic.

The most basses I've had would be two. I only have one now, but I also have an acoustic guitar and two mandolins. My short list of future acquisitions includes at least two more basses, a higher-end acoustic, an electric guitar or two, and a synthesizer, to say nothing of rigs, software, etc.

Hey, we're musicians. We get GAS. This addiction is healthier than most.
