How many people here wear glasses?

OK here's a dumb story for you.

I was playing bass last night and I tried to be clever and I pulled the neck up as a signal to my guitarist that I was finishing and the headstock flew in my face and broke the left lense in two.

Result? £80 in repairs and I'm not legal to drive without them.

Now you know to play some games at recess and up your hand eye coordination.

I've worn glasses since I was 16 and I'm 45 now, never once considered contacts (the thought of sticking ANYTHING in my eye makes me wanna hurl) or LASIK (see above...).

They don't bother me, they're just a part of me at this point. Wake up, glasses on, go to sleep, glasses on the nearest piece of furniture until morning.

Personally, I like 'em, and like 'em on the ladies too...

I got my first pair of glasses when I was 7 or 8.. At 12 I got my first pair of contacts.
I look pretty darn good in glasses.. And I have to, considering I have a subscription on eye infections :rollno:

(btw; I'm about -5 and -4)

I wear glasses... I've had these frames since 2002 or so (can't believe they've lasted so long!)... I actually sold my standup bass to get these frames back then (my work offers almost no vision coverage)... I think they discontinued these particular frames a while back so I have no idea what I'll do when they finally break.
