Only the first generation halogens caused electrical interference. There's nothing better for illuminating large areas efficiently, with natural color. Go ahead, install sodium vapor lamps, save a few bucks on electrical bills, but you'll look like Oompa Loompas up there.

I've been thinking about getting a double-filament bulb but I keep hearing that the weight is horrific and the dive, well, totally unbearable. I really like the idea though of being able to play two different wattages without having to swap bulbs between songs, to say nothing about how cool a double looks. Any lighting engineers about there have any experience the can lend to this idea?

I think we can all agree that GE incandescent bulbs are the best and most popular; of course, the vintage are the most sought after. We should start a club and give out numbers. Post a pic of your GE bulb, you must show the GE logo, and show the watts if you have it. No parts bulbs and genuine GE incandescents only, please.

That cs got me too. I traded him a vintage lava lamp for a 50s military spotlight and I received a couple of dead lightening bugs.

Also the signed Andy Warhol that he traded for a ripped Camaro poster was mislabeled, that is going back too.

The complete tyrannosaurus skull that he traded for a bowl of oats and some used Dixie cups is also heading back to the museum today. As is the matched Stradivarious violin and cello, assuming as the seller returns our hi-hat.

Actually I am at his house right now, and the lightbulb box is still there on his porch! I do realize this is my first post about bulbs.

I guess I am not so bright after all.

My vintage fluorescent bulbs produce an incomplete spectrum with a pronounced dead spot in the red green tonal area when compared to an incandescent. Can a bulb tech fix this issue?

I got a new set of Hi-Beams today, but one broke as I was tightening it. I called DR Bulbs and they sent me a replacement plus whole new set! Talk about customer service!

Anyone prefer the Sunbeams?
