about home cooks and then declare they would never pick up a knife again if they weren’t getting paid for it. I enjoy making "soundscapes".
Where’s the poll?! Next gig is September 11th in Greenwich Village.I used to gig a lot more than I do now. I’ve toured, recorded, and done the local scene. These days, my life is more about family and running my business. I still take the opportunity to play out a few times a year with a singer/songwriter friend. I also might be good for once-a-year fill-in with a local jam band. I’ll also volunteer at a local church if they need me.
So right now, most of my bass playing is for me. I spend much of my bass time playing along with tracks or just working things out in the shed. And I really enjoy it. It fits my lifestyle.
Curious, how many TBers play their bass regularly, but never (or rarely) gig?
Should do a poll…
No
Church
Gig a few times
Gig often PRO
or something like that
I play for my fun only for the past 10 years. I did some recording for a signer otherwise I only record because I enjoy it to make a YouTube video
Very interesting topic, it screams for a poll.......
Uh... I think you'd have to set this up as a poll, and then hope that a representative sample replies.
This should be a poll so we can see the numbers. I’ve played gigs since I joined my first band in 1977. I’ll do it as long as I’m able.

Sorry. No poll.
My original question was simply inquiring as to who does NOT gig.![]()
