How many TBers play Ukulele?

I've been playing about 8 years now. Recently upgraded to an A/E Concert size made by Luna and am LOVING it.
Just ordered my Lanikai LU-21c for <$51 shipped (open box). I've been thinking about picking one up for awhile and that model seems to have a lot of nice things said about it. I can't wait to get it in. I'm hoping that transferring from guitar and bass to the uke won't be too difficult. Roomie just got a banjo too... there might be some interesting musical fusions happening in my house in the near future.
I've been playing one for years and currently have a Kamaka tenor that I purchased at the Hilo Guitars and Ukulele store in Hawaii. Great place with the lowest prices that I've seen for ukes...
I saw on the news that ukes have sky rocketed in sales these last couple of years. Wanna know the last time it happened ? The great depression.
"Play" is kind of a strong word, but I mess around on Uke or Mandolin from time to time. 4 is more!
I do too; got a long-neck concert (concert body with tenor-scale neck), though I probably should just have gone for a tenor.
As has been noted, it simply is not possible to be bummed out while you're playing a ukulele.

I'm looking to buy one this weekend and downloaded chord charts. Any tips to a noobie uke player?
I have an electric uke, but I cheated and tuned it to EADG so I could play along to guitar tab/chords easier 
Thanks Man! Great site.I went to GC and they had quite a few in different sizes, shapes and prices. I bought the wildest one they had ...A FENDER UKE! It has a tele headstock, fender type old tele tuners its a trip. It also was as loud if not louder than Luna or others costing more. Its concert size and the only one with a gig bag $149.00. I fig with the 30 day...why not. Plus I'm a die hard Fenderhead! I was jammin last night mon'
ive seen the fender ukes. the one i got to play was clearanced down at my guitar center after i noticed someone strung it with regular guitar strings and cracked the headstock.
i made them an offer but they didnt take it.
not a horrible uke for the money, but ive played better for the same price if not cheaper.
fender is good with a lot of things, IMO, ukes are not one of them.

I fell in love with the look and walked over to the display of other ukes. The Fender was as loud as the others selling for much more so w/gigbag It was a no brainer. So far its been great. I also went out and bought a Ohana Baritone this weekend..great fun. You can use guitar chording and its good size to jam on. I'm having a blast on both. I also picked up Eddies Vedders "Uke songs" but wanted it before anyhow... neat album. I'm a ukeaholic now.
