How much do you charge

I'm always interested in these type of threads - thanks everybody for sharing. Here in the Pgh area the typical jazz & blues bar gig averages like $100 per musician but some bands I work with can get more than that. I also book a lot of my own weddings & private events so I try to charge enough to pay my guys $200-$400 each - sometimes for just upscale cocktail & dinner sets, sometimes including a swing & standards dance set.

I would either ask for $75,000/gig, or play for free. depends on the place and who'd be there
