How much do you get paid per gig?

The long term working band in the U.K I was with got (each) on average $160 + drinks for pubs and around $480 + meals and drinks for private parties, events, weddings. We got paid $1543 each for millennium new years eve, it was a washout, a huge fight erupted....I couldn't wait to get out of there (but we did get paid)

I usually get around $100-$125 per gig myself. Some are 1099 and some are cash. It's all just extra spending money and I certainly don't depend on it. The only time I get agitated is when people say "That's such a great hobby you have..that playing in a band!"



A hobby is electric trains or stamp collecting. Playing semi-pro gigs is not a hobby!

Anywhere from $200 to $700 for a 5 piece reggae rock group. Usually 1-3 hours long.

To undercut DJs we would book for $360 on our own.

anything they throw at us, from a meal and drinks up to €600 (for the band, not each). Unless the gig is really far away and we need to cover expenses, all money goes straight to the band's piggy bank.
