Why not just go with a 2U rack and Velcro the pedal to the top of the rack when in use? You'll save yourself a figurative ton of weight without the drawer/shelf and the smaller rack.
Or even consider a small rack bag?

Thanks, not a bad idea, but in the end I've decided to go with The MB500 over the 800 (a budget issue) in the rack with the wireless, then a 2U tray for the pedals and a power strip all secured down with Dual Lock. Should still be a light weight set up. My only question now is that the limiter switch on the M500 is positioned on the top of the amp which I won't be able to access once it's racked - is there any reason to not have it on 100% of the time? A 'set and forget' type thing?
Couldn't tell you for sure, depends on how loud you'll be pushing it.
I know with my MB800 I can't imagine a situation where I'd be pushing it loud enough that I'd even worry about using a limiter.

Thanks for all your help man! Now I'm back to thinking the MB800 might be the better investment....For just £150 more, all the power I could ever use and a large amount in reserve...haha this goes on and on. My concern about the 800 is blowing cabs with that much power, but I've been reading up on threads here on TB and am under the impression that as long as I don't crank it I could pretty much use it with any cab (minimum impedance allowing obviously). Is that correct?
I've got both the MB500 and MB800. The "noticeable" power difference isn't that noticeable trust me. But I like super clean and the MB800 can get nice and loud even at low gain, that's why I like it. If you want an OD channel get the 500, it's "boost" feature has way more GK growl to offer than the MB's "B-channel".
I wouldn't worry about blowing cabs at all unless you're in one of those bands that keeps turning up as the night goes on. If you have a decent set of ears (and grey matter between) you can find out where to draw the line at home, then it's just a matter of discipline once you're on stage. The 800 is powerful, but just as with any other amp, your speakers will let you know they're unhappy before they give out. If you're a heavy OD guy or what-have-you where you can't tell when the speakers are struggling then volume knob discipline is even more important, or buy more robust cabs.
If I'm honest the MB200 and MB500 are some of the best deals going in the amp market (IMO). Great tone, solid, reliable, good gear. The MB800 is just more of the same, and you pay extra for (again IMO0 needless bells and whistles (lighted knobs, who cares).
I have the limiter always on on both of my amps. Why not? The way I play I never really notice it coming in, and if I'm cranking it enough to trip the limiter that should be my trigger to do something different or get more speakers to make the volume.

Very true. You can get some grit out of the MB Fusion 800, though. Even so, it's still relatively clean.
I would call channel B on the MB800 a grit or hair channel, but it isn't dirt. It is useful though, I love the way it sounds with a P bass and a pick.

If you run a full depth rack, you can leave everything in the back, and Velcro it to the top as mentioned earlier.
