How much TV do you watch and what?

0 hours. It's been that way all my adult life, and I highly recommend it.

Me too.

I can't remember ever owning a television; unless it was when, in about 1990, my then girlfriend's family gave us one and we didn't watch it.

When l didn't work for more than six years several years ago, I did not have or want a television. Unless I was unwell, I didn't even take a nap. No time for it.

As it is, I struggle to find time to do what I need and want to do. Any time spent watching TV would damn me to zero productivity.

Alright spotify lists bands in a grid of thumbnail (spots) based on previous selections.
A bunch of nearly forgotten favorites:hyper:
The ones I haven't thought of in years!
Charlie Hunter trio, brand x...
Wow, Thanks its better than pandora.
Except for sound quality.
Harder to distinguish individual parts especially in dense or low quality recordings. Highest quality streaming upon "upgrade trial"
If its significantly better sound quality that's worth paying for.

Yes, the subscription gives the option to stream higher quality and it eliminates commercials and there are other benefits. From what I heard it has higher quality than iTunes. Anyway, for me it’s been worth having the subscription. I still enjoy a good vinyl album on the turntable but...
Glad you’re diggin it.

True, no replacing a good vinyl and turntable (as far as I know). As I hear it is at least equal to iTunes. Yep, I just confirmed  Now time to cancel youtube red & put pandora back in her box.
No wonder people wouldn't shut up about it.

Great Moments in Television: From "No Reservations" season 6, episode 10 "Heartland" 11:50 second mark:

Tony: "See, if I could come back as somebody else, I could do this during the day and at night I could play bass like Bootsy Collins."

I've become more critical of what I'll watch on TV now. The only sitcom I watch on my own now is re-runs of The Goldbergs, and that's only if I'm waiting for one of the late-night shows to kick off.
In the daytime I'll fill that gap by playing one of my stringed-instruments for 20-25 minutes.

Today I was watching NCIS: New Orleans & once the plot was revealed (espionage) I simply turned it off & went back to learning that Muse song that was posted as one of the most difficult :smug:
It reminds me of Tool, until the vocals and guitar kick in, which is why I'm only going to learn it up until that point.

Sometimes I'll slip however, for instance right now I'm watching Sutherland on Invasion of the Body Snatchers for likely the 4th time in the past month. It gets shown a lot on Comet TV.
I generally skip Comet TV films, because they censor. There was a great vampire movie on yesterday (Twins of Evil), but the censorship just ruined it.

Had to fill in the gaps with a poor-resolution, Hindi-dubbed version I found on YT.
So, that should be a lesson to me about watching horror movies on Comet TV.

All in though, I'm playing more now & putting down the keyboard & TV remote more often, so it's progress in the right direction.
Now that Spring is here, I'll be getting more exercise as well, before I keel over from a massive coronary.

Trying to fit in binge-watching Stargate: Atlantis when I get a chance, but that's on weekends.
Completely stopped watching The CW's Roswell: New Mexico & CBS's F.B.I. series.

You don't use a TV to do that?
Yes, generally speaking I don't watch tv. Once a month I watch Netflix on a television. So in a 30 day month there are 720 hours of opportunity to watch something on the television. I watch maybe 3 hrs of television when and if we go to the cabin and when and if the wifi is working there. That's less than 1/2 a percent which is pretty close to zero.
