I watch CBS and Denver area evening news whenever I'm home between 5 and 7 PM. (I also read two newspapers every AM.)
I watch almost all broadcast TV unless it's sports. I grew up with ABC, NBC and CBS and my reflexes still go that way. Probably more than 2 hours per evening in addition to news, but sometimes 3. Once the 10:00 news hits on the CBS affiliate in Denver I find it hard to go to bed until it's over.
ESPN, yes. CNN, yes. I also surf across the shows like Counting Cars and American Pickers every now and then. I rather like to catch car restoration shows now and then. My wife likes cooking and food shows, so between cars and cooking that's a lot of our cable viewing.
When it comes to stuff like Big Brother and Survivor, I refuse to watch them. I consider them to be the lowest form of visual entertainment, showing people at their worst - voyeur time. Nope, not interested.
But I will watch Dancing With the Stars, for the same reason I watch the Olympics. I like to see people strive and succeed.
Shows that I will actually seek out and actively watch??
