How Not to Photograph Your Bass

I'm under the weather today and probably crabby. Forgive me.

I see people taking pictures of their basses all the time from this angle:

I don't understand why. To my eyes, this is the worst angle for a bass guitar. It makes the bass guitar's ass look big, for lack of a better way to put it.

Go look at any online bass shop - they don't photograph the instruments this way. Because they don't look good.

What does look good is this, because it looks like the instrument would if you were seeing it for real:

Or this, if you want to show specific parts of the bass:

Please adjust accordingly.

(Was this thread really just a way for me to post gratuitous porn shots of my Valenti? Probably.)

I’d argue that the least beautiful part of that instrument is the part that’s in your face when you look at it.

As long as there's no nasty feet in the pictures, no pictures in the bathroom, and no reflections of naked fat people, I don't care how bad your pictures are.
