how often do u cut ur nails

im lazy so i cut them once every 3 weeks lol they really need to be cut now, badly, i usualy keep my clippers in my pocket, incase i get teh urge to clip them in the street

ive kinda developed a way of being able to get the pick-like fingernail tone along with the rounder fingerpicking tone. wat i do it have it just long enough at the tips, but file away the the left side of all my right hand nails so that when i have my wrist at a slight angle and play, i can get that round tone.

im wondering if anyones heard of another bassist that utilizes a similar technique? its working well for me but im not sure if itll be too good for me in the long run.. haha i dunno

I hate having my middle plucking fingernail hit the string, so I cut my nails pretty often.

But I am lazy sometimes, so I just cut my plucking pointer/middle fingernails. haha

I use the "sticker rule". If I can peel a sticker off of something then it's time to cut my nails.
