Moses was 80 when he started a 40 year journey.Just sitting here thinking so hear is my question. I’m 56 almost 57 and I play gospel. I’m wanting to either start a band or join one. How old is to old? Just want to hear some thoughts and opinions.
You, sir, are just a kid @ 60At 60, I’m probably too old. Just don’t choose to believe it though![]()
Look again... I said a few days after I die... not beforeA few days before? What a waste of your last few days.
I'm trying to decide which bass they should bury me with.
I just helped my 90 year old uncle buy a Porsche Macan Turbo capable of 166 mph. The one that went 149 mph wasn't fast enough for him. He still wrenches on his hot rod VW Bug almost every day. There's not a bolt or screw on it that he hasn't turned. He says it's harder to get back up from laying underneath it on the cold garage floor than it used to be but he just keeps on going.
If you woke up this morning you're not too old to play your bass today.
You're describing me when I was in my twenties...Too old when you're full of ego and being stubborn, not listening to other members of your band.
My best gigs have come since I've retired. It took me a minute to adjust to the young people and this time we musically occupy but, it worksI'm 66, I'm surprised how busy some of you folks are and I mean that in a good way. 2 to 4 bands at once? Wow! Good for you!
I'm only playing at church but between that and working right now I wouldn't have time for a band. I may retire by the end of this year and I don't know if I'd want to play out again. Might be different being retired, can't say for sure. Got enough projects around the house that could keep me more than busy for quite a while. Maybe if I met the right people and the situation felt right. Can't say for sure.
