I built this one earlier this year. Slab body as is my wont :)

Dual poles per string of a jazz single coil easy span the wider string spacing at the bridge but they don't have the same attack as a 51 single coil. I like 51 single coils so had a pair made ;)

Single coil at the neck is the standard 54mm pole to pole, ALNICO 5 wound to 8.5k OHM.
At the bridge pole to pole is 58mm, again ALNICO 5 but reading 9.5k OHM; it's also RWRP for hum cancelling.

Still WIP.

Stock Fender scratchplate is off  Need to cut one that fits correctly  Thinking a mini switch pickup selector might better than the V/V/T set up it has now.

Looks cool, but please tell me more about that Mosrite (copy?)!

I had thought about the spacing being an issue for a singlecoil P in the bridge.
A lot of folks don't concern themselves about it, for valid reasons. A pole's magnetic field is quite large and coming out the bridge a string's lateral movement is quite small, there's little chance of notes dropping out :)

Who did you use for the pickups?
I had Martin Harmer, here in the UK, knock them up for me.
