How the hell do you bias this svt-vr???

Glad to see you back! Thing is, with the internet, if you HAD hurt yourself, we all would probably never know. All we would see is that you never posted again. There are all together too many posts advising players to crack open their tube amps to see what is wrong with them. That is simply a foolish thing for someone to do when they have no knowledge of what they are looking at and what NOT to touch.

Fortunately i didn't meant to crack it open, i just tried to figure out if i could set the balance alone. Now i know i'd need a dummy load, and since i won't find such a tool out of my a**, i guess i'll probably have to find another way.

What about my driver tube question? Is a very good tube (like a Nos GE) required in this application?
One more question: i'm about to buy NOS Mazda/Telefunken 12au7 tubes for the preamp section, but they're not quite matched (one is 11,5ma / 10,5ma FOR 10,5ma/10,5ma and the other is
16ma / 13ma FOR 10,5ma/10,5ma). Should i care about that???

as long as they are not noisey or microphonic, those tubes will sound great. i put Amperex 12ax7's and NOS RCA 12au7's in mine and it made quite an improvement in my VR.

God!!! I just rocked my amp with the GE 12AX7 in it.....
It sounds twice better!!!
I'm looking forward to have all the other tubes changed...
