Simple: Keep all your shirts on. Regardless of how hot it is. I have gigged in 100+ temps with 100% humidity in mid August in the deep south and had on black jeans and a long sleeve black shirt. Why? Because it was part of the stage show. To be honest I have never liked it when I see bands and some members decide to go shirtless. It does not matter the genre. I just think it is poor self marketing. I really like the RHCP, but don't care for Flea going around shirtless.....or with nothing more than a sock!

I am a female and I can't imagine playing topless simply because the guitar strap would chafe my boobs. I have been know to practice in my underwear though, much to my husband's delight.

But the fatties might have good dongs. You could have one half of the band topless, and one half bottomless. All added up, that's still two fully clothed men. Everyone should be happy.

I'm an old retired bald guy and I worry about keeping a hat on so I don't blind the audience when we use stage lights. I wouldn't even consider going shirtless. The places we play on a regular basis wouldn't allow anyone to be shirtless in their club. Keep your shirt on like big boys do.

I'm with the group that says going shirtless is not the way to go. IMHO it is classless but that is me.

If you say I take my shirt off because it is too hot on stage, imagine hot the fat hairy guys feels.

Only one fair way to do this is everyone can remove their shirts or everyone can not.
