What kind of applications do you have for its synth mode? Can you point me to some music where the bassist—possibly you!—uses similar effects? It is so far outside of my limited experience that I'm now extremely curious to hear how effects like that would fit into a tune.

Mike Gordon uses synth with Phish. He uses a Deep Impact though
