how to deal with that one person you hate

well guys since i see everyone on TB as my friends (hell were all bassists right!:bassist:) i wanna ask you for some advice on life outside music so i can get a non-bias advice. im know im not the only guy on here that has had girl problems but heres my story,

so theres this really cute girl in my school who i took a liking to and my friends girlfiriend interduced us and we got along really well, the very next day we went on a date had a great time, so we do this like 8 times and just are hanging out having a great time so we keep going out on date after date and hanging out and by now its been 5 months of us being together daily for hours n hours but she says im not her boyfriend and that we arent dating, so i move past that and we keep doing our thing and then my schools prom rolls around and of course shes my date, we do the the pics and all the other b.s that goes wit prom and when we get to the actual dance she wont dance with me she will only dance wit her friends and wont let me join in. two days later she uses my cell phone to call this dude she met at a track meet so they can hook up, (i say hook up cuz if i said what she was planing the post would get deleted) keep in mind she made this call IN FRONT OF ME ON MY PHONE:scowl:. a few days later i get a call from her saying that she hates me and hoped i killed myself cuz im ugly and worthless and "a waste of her air" as she put it.

idk what i did wrong but that was last summer and our relationship is very bad and we have to be around each other daily cuz of our classes and i cant stand being around her or hearing her lies to others. my friends say ignore hher but its so hard to, i just feel like theres unfinished business and i want closure.

what should i do guys im so @#$!ing confused:(

Ignore her. You'll seem like the bigger person if she just talks **** all day.

Just because you go on dates and see eachother daily doesn't make her your girlfriend it makes her someone you're seeing. You actually have to ask.

Her saying that in front of you was your cue to do something or that it was over. She couldn't just stand there and wait for you so she moved on, giving your the impetus to do so or giving it to herself.

This should answer all your questions.

ditto. just ignore. better yet, when she's a B word, be nice to her in response, that'll irk her more.

Sounds like she worked you for some free meals and entertainment. No biggie, you picked up some valuable experience in dealing with females during this time.

If this is the worst thing that happens to you in your life, consider yourself fortunate.

....and by now its been 5 months of us being together daily for hours n hours but she says im not her boyfriend and that we arent dating....

I guess that was true. :bawl: :atoz:

Next time when someone tells you something that's out of character or doesn't make sense given the situation you're in, you gotta question it. If their answers don't make sense, you know somethings up.

Don't just "move past that". That's not a good survival technique.

Hey, if you were in a band and the guitar player said "I'm not really in your band", wouldn't you wonder what's up with that? You wouldn't let that pass so why would you do that in your non-band life.

Sometimes you have to call people out on stuff and make a decision in your own best interest.

There will be other girls(and other bands). :) +1 on the ignore advice. What are you gonna do, make her your girl friend again. IMO, I think she feels guilty about what she did to you.

She did you a favor. Don't let her immaturity ruin the rest of school for you.

Good luck. :bassist:

you love her. She doesn't love you: You're the "best friend". Unless she really kiss you, or have kind of s.x relationship with you, you're not her boyfriend.

If you had this kind of relation, that WAS your girlfriend and it's a lamable way to tell you it's the end. by the way, forget her.

Kill that ** with kindness. Frequently find something to complement her on, and always remember to ask her plenty of questions about how she's doing and how she's handling your shared classes. This works because the one asking questions in a conversation is ALWAYS the one in control. Let her see that you're enjoying yourself now that you're not in her company all the time. She will be insane with curiosity and will absolutely begin to wonder if she's made a mistake by better-dealing you with some other dude. And, when the time comes and she approaches you, let her know of her misfortune by asking her to hook you up with her hottest friend. After all, she's provided you a valuable learning experience, so you should at least reciprocate by providing one of your own. Above all else do not get involved with her again on your former level, as this will prove to her that you can be taken advantage of again.

congradulations you've had your first experience with being a girls cuddle bitch. remember, girls are dumb, and everything needs to be spelled out in big block letters for them. never let anything remain ambiguous. this isn't the 1920s anymore, but as someone before mentioned you still have to actually ask the girl out. that said, you probably didn't actually have a shot in the first place (friends ladder), but if you'd asked you would have known where you stood sooner and maybe you woulda found a date to the prom who would at least dance with you :scowl:

i suggest reading the following: www.laddertheory.com

and good luck with the next one :)

1) Learn your lesson about how much it sucks to be played
2) Ignore the object of all your wasted time and effort. If you run in the same social circle, still hang there, just never acknowledge her when she speaks. AT ALL.
3) Really, REALLY piss her off by focusing your attention on really hot, really cool, decent girls. Not only is there the possibility of snagging dates (if you play it cool), but this will IRRITATE HER TO NO END.

Trust me. If she's anything like you've described, her seeing you having a good time is the ultimate revenge.
