How To: Fiber Optic Side Markers Part 1!

:help:

Hello,

I'm new here so my apologies if my inquiry is against the rules of your forum.

I was wondering if there's any other way of contacting Scotty besides the PM function? I sent him a message but it's still showing as unread? I tried to contact the admin but when I click "send" the page refreshes itself and it doesn't look like my message ever goes out?

So your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

This is a pictorial on how I do my fiber optic side markers. I got to looking around at all of the tutorials on here and decided it was about time ol’ Scotty D started pulling his own weight!:) Feel free to ask any questions and disregard the poor grammer.

I get a few emails asking how fiber optic side markers compare to LED’s. I've owned and installed both and both are great, the cost of material is about the same. It comes down to personal preference and I prefer the Fibers for these reasons.
....

...source to the end of the fibers and I now have this. Instant fun!:hyper:

This is as far as I will go today. In part 2 I will show you how to run the fibers through the bass and into the cavity.

Thank you Beej, I just sent him a facebook message. I was also able to send him an email from this forum (didn't work earlier but the admin reset it for me.)

I've now read several of his threads and it looks like he's very busy individual and might not be interested but I was hoping he'd customize my Steinberger SS-2F guitar (no, not a base guitar, sorry :-)) to have fiber-optic side fret markers like the ones he's working on in this thread. A beautiful workmanship for sure. We'll see what he says...

Thanks for your help Beej (and Admin).
