How to hear myself better

There are a bunch of very good suggestions here already but Im going to add one more>>> The Mid settings on the amp(s) you were trying to bump may not be the right frequency ranges: If your bass is active, try some EQ shaping off the bass to at least "cut" through the mix to hear yourself...If your bass is passive or the set frequencies on the active bass isnt doing the job, bring along an EQ pedal (even a simple Parametric EQ pedal and Ive seen those on eBay made from your part of the world for $25 or so)....

If this doesnt work, then there just isnt enough wattage in the host amplifiers to keep up with some very loud jammers :)
