I'm finding that it is getting harder and harder to pick whether some thread OP's are simply trolls, have English as a second language, are very young and naive or are, to use an Aussie saying "a couple of kangaroos short in the top paddock".

Trolls are easy to spot. They usually start a post with a single sentence containing at least 45 words.
I don't think Australians really say that.
There's some troll OPs on here, but I think you're correct that the odd-sounding ones can be attributed to ESL, kids and the unschooled.

The funny part is that the troll threads always end up with 150 replies.
instead of even trying to figure it out, just realize that stupidity isn't worth dealing with on any level and you should therefore walk away. Any society that gets its fun from pretending to be idiots will find itself populated by actual idiots who think they're in good company.

The "ignore" function works great.
