How to prevent a class d amp movement in a gig?

A few pieces of gaff tape and you're done. I made the mistake of leaving the gaff tape on my cabinet and reusing it and it made a mess, so don't do that.

I use a computer mouse pad for my Mesa subway. Very low profile, does the job. Fits in the amps carry bag with no problems

I use to have this problem. I had a Markbass F1 and Genz benz Shuttle. If you have a cab with handles on each side , you can use a bungie cord. I bought the rubber drawer liner you put in a tool box, that worked. At 1 gig, I resorted to duct tape. Looked really stupid to have a genz benz head taped to an Ampeg 410 but it worked.

I went to my local Home Depot alternative and got a mat that is meant to go between the washing machine and the ground. It's made of very dense rubber that absorbs vibrations pretty well. I cut it up so I ended with one piece big enough to go under my cab and one piece big enough to go on top.
My Class D head stays in place with just the piece on top, but in some rooms, the vibration the cab passes to the floor can be a problem (it is at home where I have bare floorboards in my music room).
It was ten bucks well spent!

More education about the technology, studying, and run some analysis of the metrics behind what’s going on under the hood (including duty cycle and reactive analysis). By they, you will have understood why class D (done well, and ICEpower is pretty much the gold standard) has significant advantages over linear amplification for higher powered applications.

I have an Ashdown RM115 cab that is so light, at higher volumes it MOVES.
Even with my Berg Forte on it.

Maybe you're not straping it tight enough? Like you don't need to crush it but it should be tight enough not to move. Im failing to see how a strap isn't accomplishing this task. Another Idea is Velcro

I don't suppose something's come adrift inside your 4x10 and it's vibrating way more than it should?

Lace the cord from your bass through the handle on the speaker cab before plugging it into the amp.

As the tittle said I'm having this issue with my peavey minimega an my acoustic b410. It takes dives from the top of the cab twice. I strap it to the cab and still moves. I will appreciate your inputs. Thanks in advance!

I use a bar mat. Purchased from Amazon. About $10 and it works perfectly

Get an old Peavey 400BH and set it on top to weigh it down. Then you have a backup.

The solution is for amp manufacturers to offer alternative enclosure options - those of us that want small and light can stick with the little metal boxes, those who want large and heavy can have large heavy wooden cases containing mostly air. I can guarantee that online side-by-side blind test comparisons would soon spring up claiming the large wooden box versions are louder with more headroom and a warmer sound.

Fender has small class d amps, in huge, empty, air filled, wooden boxes.

It really just does make any sense. A fully braced 410 bass guitar cabinet, doesn't vibrate much at any volume. He says he strapped it down, and it still happens. He's either pulling it off the cab, or he's trolling.

velcro, or turn down and let the PA do the work.

Simplest method is to get a PortaFlex...head attaches to top of cab. No problem.

I put velcro dots on the amp's feet and on the top of the cab.
