How to prevent a class d amp movement in a gig?

I think we should strap class d heads to our chest or to our stomach (depending on your gender/build). put a piece of foam rubber across it and wear your bass in front. how convenient to reach behind your bass and have your full stack of controls right there!

I bungee cord mine down to the side handles of the cabinet. It looks a little weird, but honestly nobody notices or cares.

Perhaps it's time to forget about that class d low weight wimpy tone nonsense and start buying amps with just enough power for the gig and decent weight. If my amp weights less than my bass then something is wrong.

Yeah, perhaps it sounded way bitter than I intended, sorry. My day job consists on product development for audio reinforcement, not specifically bass amps, but every time I put those ICEpower gazillion watt class D modules through its paces side by side with more traditional class AB amplifiers of half the power rating the image of those 5000 watt "pmpo" boomboxes cross my mind. There's something really shady on the specs of those 800w off the shelf class D modules everyone is using these days, is not something about sound quality or corksniffery, they just don't really deliver the quoted power.

If your cab has handles on the sides, you could use a ratchet strap. It definitely won't go anywhere then. But you probably don't want to strap it down too tight.

That's exactly what I was going to suggest. I use it for my Sony wireless receiver on my amp, also for a battery I put under my Zoom T-8 mixer, and a variety of other things. Very strong hold.

They perform exactly as specified, but you have to understand the specs and how the technology works.

I spent decades designing in the pro audio world as well as in the MI world, your comments do not accurately represent the technologies.

And yes, I think your comments came off as bitter and derogatory towards all of those players )and pro audio guys) who have embraced this technology and have used it successfully for many years. Just because you haven’t figured out how to make it work well isn’t the technology’s fault.
