How to test wireless iem

A real good start would be to download the owners manual and learn a little something about what you are about to spend your hard earned cash on.
Then you will be able to answer your own question.

It turns out that they were right all along.
Reading is fundamental... ;<)

I'm going to check out a used audio technica m3 later today and I was wondering how I should go about testing it out??
Thanks!

Here's what I did to test (a used Shure PSM 600). I used an iPod and hooked it into the input of the transmitter (I used a Y cable that went from 1/4 TRS [ a "stereo" connector] to two 1/4 TS ends [a "mono" connector]. I had to use a 1/4 to 1/8 adapter to hookup the output from the iPod.). This allowed me to test both channels on the unit. I made sure to play songs that I was very familiar with that were in the genre of the musis I play. I also used my own earbuds (again something I was familiar with) in addition to the set that came with the unit.

Once the connection were made I walked around, moved the transmitter and receiver around to see if I could get the signal to break up, etc.
