judge the time it will take you to do something?

For most of my life, I have been good about it. But I seem to be getting worse lately.

I find myself misjudging the amount of time it takes to drive somewhere, the amount of time it will take me to wrap up a task I am working on, etc. What about the rest of you folks?

I underestimate the time needed for just about everything......I think it's because I'm always so busy, I try to talk myself into getting things done very quickly.....I've been that way for as long as I can remember.

On the other hand, I tend to judge driving times very accurately.........I spend a fair amount of time behind the windshield, and I usually have a pretty good idea of how much drive time I will need.

Driving I judge well...I'm still late all the time buts that's cause I hate waking up.

Work I judge terribly...I forget to account for the 3 biggest time wasters....server trouble, other peoples ****** code, and talk bass.

Half hour jams only feel like 10 minutes...then I go and cut them up to play later and it suddenly becomes very clear why my index finger is blistered.

At work I'm pretty good. I can tell you how long soemthing should take to fix pretty well.

In the kitchen, I'm horrible. Things are done when their done, and if I say 15 minutes, it could be half an hour.

most of the time I can estimate how long something will take to within about 5 minutes. distances are what I have trouble with. I was giving my brother directions to my job a few months ago, and told him to "go straight for about a mile, then you'll see it on your left. Turns out that it was closer to two & a half miles.

when im driving, im pretty good at estimating how long it will take me to get somewhere
i damn well should be, as i do deliveries for a living hahaha

obviously, unexpected traffic jams are inevitable and throw estimates off...
i should probably listen to the radio more often to get reports
but im always listening to music

anyways, otherwise in life... my time projections suck
depending on what its for, usually im off by 15+ minutes
usually because im slow to get off my *** and leave the house

if i estimate how long it will take to get something done.. i usually overcompensate for slacking off and getting side tracked by other things
