I'm McGuirk, a 20-something computer networking guru with a love for bass.
I've been writing and messing with music for most of my life, not professionally or anything, just as a hobby. I've always had a thing for bass, particularly funk, disco, and 80s style bass (octaves and so on). Only recently have I discovered the joys of the bass guitar; I was previously working with synthesizers.
I do most of my playing just jamming with my bud who plays drums. "Jamming" is used very liberally; I'm not very good yet, but I'm getting there.
I'm hoping to learn a lot while I'm here, and maybe even show some other folks a thing or two
