Howdy From SE Texas

Nice to join you folks, there's a lot of good info here.

I played guitar for 50 years before the bass bug hit, but I've got it bad, now. :D

I always liked the sound of a Bass VI, so I bought a used Squier. That was it, I was hooked. 9 weeks later, I now have a Fender Am. Pro II P bass that I bought new, a Mesa TT 800 with 15" Mesa cab, paired that with a 2x10 Fender Rumble cab, and also a Rumble 100 combo.
I'm thinking I'd like a Jazz bass, but the electricity in my old house is so bad, I might not be able to use it for all the noise. Bass GAS is just as bad as guitar and amp GAS.

You mean the pit? I'm still working on learning how to cook barbecue. That was the second smoker I built, it started out to be a 250 gallon, but I decided it was too big. So I hacked about 20 inches off and it ended up like this.

Come to find out, that behemoth was too heavy to move around in the grass by myself, so I started hacking again, and came up with this.

Then, like a fool, I decided it was still too big, so I sold it. Bad move, that was probably the best cooker I ever built. I've built 6 or 7 smokers, and a few small Santa Maria pits, so far.
