HPF. Why is there only a couple of options.

I think I want a HPF, but searching around I only find a couple of options.
Nothing from the USA. I think I may go with Broughton Audio always on High Pass Filter.
What are my other options?

You see HP/LP filters on mastering parametric EQs, ie Chandler Mastering Equalizer. These are studio tools, but up until recently, musicians have recovered they're useful in a live situation. It's only a matter of time before we'll start seeing more options.

Wasn't sure about this little guy when I was shopping for one, but recently read a TBer said they had one, and gave it the thumbs up:

But I agree, they're the talk of the town on TB, but not much out there apart from Broughton and fdeck

I ended up with a broughton, but the fact that it's passive was mighty appealing. (I don't use any other pedals.) it's cheap enough, I've got half a mind to get one someday just to see how it performs

I'm on my third and final Broughton HPF. There is no denying what it does, and any used examples sell within 15-30 minutes. If it's not built into the amp, we know where to find it.

Yup, still here. Glad somebody asked. I "improved" my website, and in the process, made it disappear. I think it's back. I think.

I have been playing around with some rack mount gear with EQ's and HPF's. So now I have to decide in a pedal.

Acoustic Image has been putting them on their amps before BG users started discovering them mainly because upright guys need them. I would say Series 2 had them as early as 2000. EA amps had them for a while now too. Pedals.. I think Radial may have been before Broughton. It's a shelving filter that is priced and hyped too much. Cut the bass turn off the deep switch and use non ported sealed cabs like the Anpeg 810. It's common sense

Just the little bit of playing around with a EQ with a HPF in my fx send I have noticed just rolling off 25 to 30 HZ and below it made a huge difference by cleaning up the low end rumble. Also I do a lot of recording and mixing for other bands and I almost always roll off a bit of low end on the bass. The only thing I have with a HPF is rack gear that is why I am looking into a pedal.

I think I may go with Broughton Audio always on High Pass Filter.

I've been using this very HPF for a little while and it was perfect for my needs. Just set the right frequency and forget it. It was inserted in my FX loop.

Why u dont try to make one?
