Kent, wa
Did a show in a relatively large venue last night, brought out a larger than normal stage rig to fill the room. A random guy mentions to me that I have a weird resonance at around 75hz…yeah, whatever..everyone’s an expert, ignored his advice, later my guitarist asks me, “dude, what we’re you and Tom MCcauley talking about?”

If this gig was in WA state, I'd bet the Tom McCauley we're talking about is the originator of McCauley Sound, a completely vertically oriented PA system manufacturer.
They developed a line of transducers, back in the 80's, that were truly amazing, from the viewpoint of a touring sound company.
They genuinely sounded good, took way more power than a spkr should be asked to take (we were slamming each one of our 4x15" cabs with 3,000 watts rms from a Crest 8001. 20 cabs per side) and if you did somehow damage one, they had field replaceable baskets. Think of Peavey Black Widow convenience meets JBL quality and performance.
Innovative stuff from an innovative company, and they've continued to produce cutting edge products for the Pro Sound community ever since.

He was only there a few seasons and I didn’t really become a Falcons fan until a few years later. Now if it was Nobis or Morris or Bartkowski, holy cow, those guys were my heroes growing up. I still proudly rock Bart’s #10 jersey when I get the chance to see them.

The way someone knows it's 75 Hz, and not 70 or 80? - it's possible (not guaranteed, but possible) that he noticed it was a D you were playing when the boom occurred (73.4ish Hz - 75 is between that and D sharp) - the guy may very well be musically literate, not just a good Pro Audio person. Some of us (OK, a lot of us) folks that have designed pro audio gear for a very long time are also musicians. You'd be surprised how many of us are lurking in various places - getting out and being exposed to (or participating in) the real world situations in which your gear is used is an integral part of doing a good job designing stuff.

75 Hz is in the area where it could easily be a room related resonance.
