HX Stomp Newbie

Hi guys,

Just acquired a HX Stomp to replace my pedals and have something smaller. The issue is that I find that the bass signal sounds distorted all the time even if I bring the drive down on the patches/amp sims that I choose. What could be causing this? All my bass are passive.

Agreed with @furym - much deeper user base that can help you with most anything.

My guess with your issue is that your volume knob is tied to your Left/Right output - you can set the volume to only control the headphone out, then set your L/R for Line or Instrument - you may have yours set for the much higher output.

Explore Global Settings.

There is a guitar pad option in the global settings that should chill it out a bit

What are you listening through? Might help us provide answers. With a passive bass you shouldn't need the pad. I play a G&L L2500 through mine in active mode and it never overloads the input.
