How about these? Someone above noted Gerold sent them this clip as an example of Bassos. The lower strings appear copperish:
All I can say is I just got some Basso and they are all a silver colored alloy of some sort.
His string program has some details, notice the diameters.

Ps still haven’t put the basso on, put the ebony tailpiece on and am really enjoying the Helix. Got a little more focus and high frequencies from the heavier tailpiece. My wolf is stuck at a G now and changing after lengths a bit didn’t move it. I think at this point I will find the time to put the basso on.

Did you ever put the basso set on? If so, how are they?
Billy, how is the tuning stability with the BASSO25 set? I'm enjoying all the clips you've posted. My days of bowing raw gut are behind me but I am thinking about trying the BASSO25 set.
I did.
They respond well arco and pizz, and the feel of the set is really well balanced. A string is pretty large, had to file my nut slot.
Felt a bit stiff at first but I had Helix on prior which are lower tension.
Tuning stability is great once they settle in.
On my bass, with quite a bit of scoop in the fb, they are very smooth and chocolatey sounding, a complex sound though. They have good sustain if you let them. Also a good percussive attack for pizz.
Gerold will send sound samples if you email him.
After going back and forth between the BoM and basso's I pulled the trigger on the Bassos. I am still curious about the BoM set but I am a little scared of trying to bow a G string that big in thumb position.

A great player is in town and I saw him at a show the other night. Met up today so he could check out my bass and the Basso, I played his old beat ply travel bass with J-Roque and a BoM E string.
Damn, the Jroque are awesome strings too.
Got to hear my bass from a non players perspective and it sounds great, the basso are awesome, get a little more high frequency information out front and the E string sounds even. I had the soundpost moved recently and I felt the E might’ve gotten a little weak.
Everything’s great just play the bass and the strings I need to keep telling myself!!!
Also played a baroque style bow that he got from Gerold (i think he said) and dang it had so much bite. Gonna try to figure out what the bow was though I think I prefer a french style frog.

Ha well I managed to change my order back to BoM. I think my place on the waitlist won't be up until May. I am using the B-Roque set currently. After being on and off a couple basses they are still sounding good. I went back to spirocores for a year or so but got the gut itch again.

Not exactly sure! His latest synthetic hybrid string. The sound examples he sent me sounded great. They fact they have a little more tension than raw gut is appealing to me. Gut is what I prefer for the gigs I do but when teaching I always wish I was playing steel strings for my students. I'm hoping these will be a little easier to bow than raw gut while still feeling similar to gut under my right hand on long jazz gigs. I don't think I will put them on until early July after they arrive but I will make some sound files to post here.

I can say I have fallen back in love with the B-Roque set. I've had them on and off different basses the last few years and they keep sounding better and better. I replaced the D string with a Gamut Pistoy and I absolutely love how the set responds with the bow. I hope the BoM set work for me but I always seem to come back to plain gut. I am lucky to be spending a lot of time playing these days and anything other than gut wears me out pretty fast. Some bounce and the arco attack of gut really helps a bass hang with loud drums. I'm going in the studio tomorrow and will share sound samples whenever the project gets released.
Just took off the Basso2025 and put the Helix back on. Both sound great, I think the Basso are a little smoother sounding.
Can’t play much now, strings are settling back in (the Helix were on my bass for atleast a year) and the kids are sleeping. As soon as I got them tuned up I was thinking dang, I love the feel of these strings.
Will see about the arco tmrw. I remember the Helix being a bit harder to get started but I like the raspy overtones better. The Basso are so chocolatey on my bass (fb has alot of scoop). So that’s that, haha.

Here is a quick sample of what the B-Roque sound like on my instrument. It isn't mixed or mastered and is from a track that got the ax but you can still get a feel for how they sit with the drums.
