Double Bass hybrid gut string choices 2024

Ha well I managed to change my order back to BoM. I think my place on the waitlist won't be up until May. I am using the B-Roque set currently. After being on and off a couple basses they are still sounding good. I went back to spirocores for a year or so but got the gut itch again.

You have your BoM set yet?

Been talking with Gerold about a set of strings like the Wrap, and I think he has convinced me to go full BoM …

I do not. When my name came up I was busy with the birth of first child so was away from all internet for a bit. I will check back in with him in a few weeks. (I keep going back and forth between wanting to try the BoM or stick with the B-Roque set that I love. The E and A match plain gut perfectly and they sing with the bow. I sometimes miss the quickness of Spiro's when soloing but not very often and never in the practice room. I was in the studio a couple times the last few months but don't own the masters. Sometime next year I will be able to share the sound files.)

Thank you! We are only two and half months in and I can tell already it's the best thing to ever happen to me.
