Hi.
I did a search and couldn't find anything on TB. Not much on the net either with a quick search. And I'd rather take the opinions and experiences of the people whose knowledge level I'm familiar with, than any random folks in the net.
I'm planning to build a few active PA columns/wedges as my Carver Pm5.1s are PITA to use in 240V world. Not much point in class H if you have a 2kW step-down transformer to haul around
.
Is the ad 8620 chip (+other added features?) worth the 35% higher price in MI/SR/PA use?
As I'm planning to use the UcD-400xx and UcD-180xx biamped, the cross over frequency will be quite low so I'd like to know would the "added clarity" or whatever of the ad's matter that much. Especially in the UcD-400.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Sam
