i'll record new souns clips in next week!

The recording was done using the following signal chain.

Pedulla Rapture RB-4 [all knobs up full, mid switch on]>Direct box (Direct to MOTU 828 MKII, output to pedal board)

Pedal Board> Boss LS-2 (Set for A+B) [both volumes are at 50%, or 12:00]
A: Human Gear Animato (Volume 11:30, Distortion 11:30, Tone 12:30, Switch to the right)
B: EHX Big Muff (Russian) [Volume dimed, sustain 2:00, tone dimed]

Both run to the return of the LS-2. Output into Peterson Strobostomp into a Marshall DBS 7200 Head, powering a 1x15 and a 4x10, with a bass mic on the lower left 10" speaker. Preamp all tube, gain 50%, EQ mostly flat, no boost on bass or treble, no compressor, volume a 3 o'clock.

Minor eq'ing and gain were added post recording. No dubbed lines, or punch in's, all straight through, one take.

Actually, there are 6 other pedals on the board, and more coming... Here is my complete signal chain...

Pedulla> Boss LS-2 (A+B Mix)
A: Boss OC-2>Human Gear Animato> HBE Hematoma>Return
B: Line 6 FM4> Akai Deep Impact>EHX Big Muff> Digitech Bass Synth Wah> DOD FX25> Return

LS-2 Out to Peterson Strobo Stomp> Marshall 7200 and 7400. 7200 powers 4x10 and 1x15, 7400 powers DBS 2x10 and plays clean only.

Kinda odd no one else jumped in to comment...

I mean there once was a time when this was a big deal. IMHO, I think this is the closest (without the right eqing and studio magic) we have gotten. Obviously, I took the approach of not using another synth, like the OP stated, and I think e are on to something...
