I am practicing six hours on Saturday.

Another warning here not to overdo it. I’m 70, a few years back I hit a stretch when I was playing a lot of hours (more gig time than practice), and developed some shoulder and left hand index finger issues that I’m still working through. Set reasonable goals (1-2 hrs 5-6 x/wk), stay focused and you’ll make great progress. I try to avoid YouTube unless I need to look up something very specific; it can be a real time waster if I’m not careful.

Agreed. I do a little more but in smaller increments, 20 minutes at a time, to get 1.5 - 2 hours per day. I do this 7 days/week. I don't gig so I can play at my own pace. My fingers and aching back (I don't play sitting) tell me when it's time to quit.

In between my practice intervals I do TB or Youtube. I try not to watch news or go to news sites during breaks, it brings me down too much to play well when I go back to the bass.
